About Us
We founded Cook's Computer Maintenance and Engineering in 1978. Begun in our garage, we saw a need for mini-computer hardware and software support in the San Joaquin Valley area, and it soon became apparent that we were right. We moved into our office on H Street in Bakersfield in 1979. The shape of the industry has changed by leaps and bounds, but Cook's Computer has managed to change right along with it. Cook's Computer began as a family owned business and was incorporated on September 30, 1981. It still remains family oriented, with Donna's sister Jeri signing on in 1985, first as a dispatcher and later as a technician. In 1993 our daughter Kristi, after attending college, decided to become a technician as well. She has since moved on to broaden her expertise. Family is important at Cook's Computer, and has been an integral part of our success. Honesty, Integrity, and Consistent Quality Service have always been a priority with us. Since the beginning, we have remained on the cutting edge of new computer technology in order to meet our goal, which is to provide the computer services our customers require in a professional, efficient and affordable manner. We are meeting this goal daily, by bringing our customers highly skilled computer professionals equipped with the latest training, test equipment and spare parts.
